Year 8 Drop Down Day
Year 8 participated in a drop down day from Sally Siner from Prevent talking about stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination. Year 8 participated fantastically and engaged with all of Sally’s questions. Students need to learn about prejudice and discrimination because it is a statutory requirement of PSHE, it helps them develop empathy and respect for others, and it prepares them to live and work positively in a diverse society. The impact of this was extremely positive, from our student voice Y7 said ‘I loved the presentation and learning the different definitions. It was interesting to learn about how discrimination may happen when we are older’.
