E-Scooter Ban Update (27^th November 2024)

Dear parents/carers,

Please be aware that it is illegal to use e-scooters in public areas, and the Police now have the power to seize and destroy without warning.

Therefore, like all other secondary schools in Derby, we are banning e-scooters from our site.

This means students will no longer be able to store them in our bike shed.

We also have a duty to report the use of e-scooters to the Police who may come onto site and confiscate any that they find.

Parents/carers may be liable for prosecution if their child is caught using an e-scooter. Please advise your child that they must not travel to school on e-scooters and that they may only be used on private land.
