Safeguarding

Safeguarding our people is at the forefront of our work.

The Principal and Designated Safeguarding Lead work very closely together to ensure we meet all expectations.

Safeguarding processes are dictated by substantial national documentation and subject to significant scrutiny.

For our Academy, that means ensuring we have the right culture – where safeguarding is at the heart of what we do.

This requires:

  • Awareness of national and local issues
  • Appropriate policies and practice
  • Effective training at all levels
  • Timely responses including, where necessary, other agencies
  • High quality evidence and records
  • Thorough quality assurance

Safeguarding is the overarching title for these matters. The list of relevant topics includes:

  • Child Protection - click here to view our Child Protection Policy
  • Health and Safety
  • Internet Safety
  • Recruitment and Vetting of People on Site
  • Radicalisation and Prevent
  • Child Sexual Exploitation
  • Female Genital Mutilation
  • Bully (including Cyber Bullying)
  • Substance Abuse
  • Mental Health
